Feeding, weights, health and housing are the daily work of keeping animals, and none of it is behind a paywall on any plan.
Husbandry is never paywalled
This is a deliberate rule rather than a launch promotion. The daily care of an animal is not where a software company should put a payment prompt, so feeding logs, weights, health records, enclosures and racks are free on the Keeper plan and stay free on it forever.
What the paid tiers add is the business around the animals — breeding projects, finances, a public website, staff accounts. Not the animals themselves.
Feeding, including refusals
A refusal is data. HerpSync records what was offered, whether it was taken, and when — so a fasting animal shows up as a pattern rather than as a gap in the log, and acceptance rates per food item tell you what an individual actually prefers.
Diet options follow the species, and a workspace can keep its own list of food items rather than typing free text that never groups.
Weights and growth
Weights and any other numeric measurement you define are logged over time and charted, so growth is a curve rather than a column of numbers. A stalled animal is visible at a glance, which is usually weeks before it is visible in the enclosure.
Health, quarantine and cleaning
Health records carry ongoing-condition flags and a quarantine indicator that counts the days, so a new arrival's clock is on the record rather than in your head. Cleaning, misting, water changes and substrate changes are logged per enclosure, and the last-cleaned indicator is derived from the cleaning kinds rather than from every chore.
Racks that work like racks
Enclosures group into racks with generated, correctly-ordered tub names, so tub ten does not sort between tubs one and two. A whole rack can be fed or cleaned in one pass, with every animal pre-selected and the ones that did not eat simply deselected.
Anything already logged that day is skipped rather than duplicated, so a double-tap does not double the whole rack.

Common questions
Is feeding tracking really free?
Yes. Feeding logs, weights and growth charts, health and quarantine records, enclosures and racks, and the bulk rack feed and clean actions are all available on the free Keeper plan, for up to 10 animals. There is no trial clock on them.
What happens if I log the same rack twice in a day?
Nothing is duplicated. Both the bulk feed and the bulk chore actions skip any animal already logged that calendar day, because a feeding log has no natural key and a double-tap would otherwise double an entire rack.
