Team accounts, roles and an activity log
Everyone gets their own account, the owner decides what each role may do, and the record shows who did it.
Every plan includes one seat. Breeder includes two and Commercial ten — see the pricing table for the current counts.
Real accounts, not a shared password
Staff are invited by email and sign in as themselves. A shared login is the reason most breeding operations cannot answer 'who fed this animal' — and it is also the reason a departing employee's access is never really revoked.
Permissions you can actually configure
Roles start from sensible defaults — owner, admin, member, viewer — and then the grid is yours. Capabilities are granted individually, so you can let someone log daily care without letting them edit prices, or let a partner see finances without letting them delete animals.
You can rename the roles too, so 'Member' can read 'Keeper' if that is what your operation calls them.
- Deletes sit one rung above the matching edit, so a mis-click cannot take an animal's whole history
- The menu only offers what the signed-in person's role can actually use
- A capability that could hand out access to others cannot be granted below admin
Who did what, today
Feedings, cleanings, colony production and stock movements all record the person who performed them, and the activity view merges them into one dated feed with a per-person board and a filter. Every row links to the record it touched.
A workspace with one member never sees any of it — naming yourself in your own log is noise.
More features
Genetics & pedigrees
Every animal carries a recorded genotype rather than a morph name typed into a text field, so predictions come from genes and pedigrees come from real parentage.
Husbandry & records
Feeding, weights, health and housing are the daily work of keeping animals, and none of it is behind a paywall on any plan.
QR labels & scanning
Print a sheet of scannable codes for a whole rack, then walk it with a phone — open the record, or log the chore as you scan.
Breeder website
Your animals, prices and photos are already in HerpSync — the website is a view of them, not a second copy you have to keep up to date.
Common questions
Can I stop a staff member seeing what I paid for an animal?
Yes. Viewing finances is its own capability, granted per role, so someone can log daily care and manage animals without ever seeing purchase prices or the ledger.
Can a team member invite other people?
Only owners and admins. The capability that manages team membership cannot be granted to a lower role, because a role that can invite people could otherwise create an account with more access than the person who made it.
